Evaluations

Evaluations determine a child’s baseline skills across speech, language and play skills.  

Information during the assessment is obtained through various measures including: clinical observations, play-based assessments, standardized measures, and parental report.

Skills assessed include:

  • Receptive Language 
  • Expressive Language 
  • Speech and Articulation
  • Play skills
  • Pragmatic/ Social language 
  • Executive functioning skills 

Upon completion of the assessment, a comprehensive report is provided, outlining objective results, observations, recommendations for treatment. If therapy is warranted, treatment goals will be provided, which are updated on an ongoing basis. Parent meetings will be scheduled to talk through the report in detail and answer all questions.
